Shiro Asuma was formerly a soldier of the Sixteenth Division of the invading Japanese Imperial Army,directly involved in the Nanjing Massacre .In 1987,he published his own diaries that he kept in whe war and expressed hid regret to the Chinese people .The Shiro Asuma Diaries has five volumes ,400,000 characters in all, and became a book of confession by a war criminal.
