While the Memorial was under construction,monuments were also erected in memory of Chinese compatriots killed by the Japanese soldiers.The monuments are scattered in 17 spots of the city where the massive slaughters took place or where thousands of vitims were buried.This picture shows the monument at the Zhongshan Wharf where more than 10,000 people were killed.
